Munay - Argentine folk music

Munay is a six-piece Argentine folk ensemble based in Copenhagen, devoted to carrying the living traditions of Argentine folk music into new territories.

The name comes from the Quechua language and means "to love" — a reflection of the group's deep bond with the music, landscapes, and stories of their homeland.

Their concerts move through the sonic regions of Argentina — from the Andean highlands to the subtropical forests of the northeast — performing traditional rhythms with full authenticity and a rare gift for communal celebration.

More than a concert.
A collective journey.

Munay's shows are designed to bring audiences into the music - not just as spectators, but as participants in a living cultural tradition.

Guided dance moments invite the audience to the floor. No experience needed — Munay leads the steps. The crowd doesn't watch folklore; they become part of it.

Munay is not just something you watch...
it's something you live!
